Hi, all-
I have a fair amount of fabrication experience with silver, but I
would like to start working in gold also. I know that soldering gold
is somewhat different than soldering silver, not only because of the
variety of alloys, but also because of the different heat conduction
properties of gold as opposed to silver. I am concerned that the
“trial and error” approach to learning may be prohibitively
expensive if I am working in gold. Can anyone recommend a class or
classes in the Phoenix, Arizona area which would get me up to speed
with gold soldering?
