Phil Fike

Hi all,

Phil Fike, a dear friend of mine and important American
metalsmith died on the 8th in Detroit. He was a singular human,
his memorial announcment says:" artist, metalsmith, educator,
historian, researcher, musician, poet, prankster, person
extraordinaire". Phil was all of these and more. Phil touched a
great many lives and made a difference for thousands of people
in the field.

The memorial will be at the Wayne State University Community Art
Gallery in Detroit Michigan at 3pm on Saturday Dec 13th. Clare
Morison, his partner and love says “Philip didn’t do funerals so
we are going to toast him and roast him”. If you have any stories
or memories about Philip to share you can fax them to:
