A friend asked if a “Pearl” from a clam has any value. I don’t have a
clue. Does anyone know or able to give me a hint of who to ask? The
Pearl is 15 mm wide X 9.8 mm high with a purple hue. E-mail me off

I’m sure they had to have seen the news recently about the purple
pearl found in the clam that is valued at $25k. 
Richard, oddly enough I just read about a patron of a restaurant
finding a pearl in one of his clams, with a purple hue I might add,
and it was worth a bundle. I wish I could remember where I read it
(it could have been “The Week” magazine, or possibly the Wall Street
Journal)! I suggest you take it to someone reputable to place a
value. Don’t get your hopes up but it’s definitely worth checking
into!
