Patination for nickel silver

I have various sources of patina mixtures, but none say specifically
FOR nickel, but some say specifically NOT for nickel. What patina
solution can beused for nickel silver?

I’m just guessing here since I can’t recall the last time I tried to
put a patina on nickel silver or even, for that matter, to actually
make something from it, but I’d bet any of the patinas used for
copper bearing alloys like copper, bronze, brass, etc, would also
work on nickel silver. Remember that despite it’s nickle white
color, the main metal in it remains copper. A common one for example
has 65% copper, and 18% nickel and 17% zinc. The U.S. Nickel coin is
75 % copper and the remainder nickel… It doesn’t take a lot of
nickel in the alloy to give it the hardness and color of nickel
silver, even if it’s still mostly copper. Nickel silver probably
would give you different results than say, bronze or brass, but I’ll
bet you get at least some version of the desired patina…
