Paste Solder Tips

Hi Alysia; your paste solder has probably hardened somewhat. When
this happens to me, I use a small hair dryer that I keep in the shop
and direct it on the tube while slightly pushing on the plunger and
when the paste has softened sufficiently it will “ooze” out. Don’t
overheat it.

Hope this helps,
best wishes,

My paste solder had not only hardened a bit, it had also separated
from its binder. I ended up pulling out the plunger from the
syringe, and mixing and applying the paste with a toothpick.

Even then, the stuff splattered so badly when heated that I went
back to using solid solder. Am I missing something too?
