Hi, gang,

Bill’s question re: distinguishing platinum from white gold reminded me I
have a white metal antique diamond ring in house which is stamped ‘PALL’.
Does anyone recognize this as a hallmark or metal stamp? There is no
other stamping.

Hi Sharon, The ring is made of palladium, a platinum subsitute. Tom Arnold

Of course. It’s Paladium, a member of the platinum metals group, and used
during WWII when plat. was a stategic metal. Not worth much, less than
plat.
