Oxy concentrator and little torch

Hello, I am a lampworker and supply the lampworkers’ market with
reconditioned oxy concentrators. I am wondering if a concentrator
could be used with the “little torch”. My concentrators put out 5
lpm at 92 to 94% purity. I have 21 AirSep “specials” right now for
$195 + $34 shipping anywhere in continental US.

Thanks,
Paulette

This is an interesting option, To say if it can be used for the
little torch, depends on the pressure of the ROC. 5 litres per minute
should be sufficient for even melting. But than you need at least 0.5
bar for save use so that the gas will not flow into the Airsep. Can
you give me more about this airsep. How does that thing
work?

One thing I should probably have mentioned was that I DO NOT use a
regulator on the unit. Almost all regulators easily available do
not work well with low differential pressure between supply and use
pressure. They cause the flames to vary in intensity which I am sure
you all know about from experience. ( probably with underbreath
cursing). These units work by pressure swing adsorbtion and are
made in a wide variety of sizes. The ones available are used from
medical home care applications. The patients using them have all gone
beyond. In the US they can not be resold for medical use so all of
them should go to other service or junk. They are also paid for by
medicare or other insurance when new. The units going out of
medical service will probably not need service or have really
received any since the patient use is usually near terminal. You can
check the internet for PSA , pressure swing adsorbtion and oxygen
generators for general They will work for most small
scale use. They won’t cut steel. Jesse
