I just came across a rectangular can of the metal polishing product
OUATOR, that I probably purchased 25 years ago. Has anyone used this
impregnated fiber product? It was made in France by RAVAIN. There is
no about what it contains. But there is a combustible
warning. It seems to work well, but I’m a little wary.

I think I’ve used it but under a different name. You use it by
pulling out a bit of the fiber to polish with? Mine smelled pretty
strongly of kerosene or something similar. However, it was a pretty
darn good polish, especially for brass.
