Does anybody know where and when the Orchid Dinner is being held?
I believe it was set for Friday, Feb 2. Is this true?
I’m looking forward to meeting all of you.

Does anybody know where and when the Orchid Dinner is being held? I
believe it was set for Friday, Feb 2.<<

Here’s the info on the 2001 Tucson Orchid Dinner. So far about 45
folks have indicated they’ll be there.

The location for the 4th annual (2001) Orchid dinner
during the Tucson show is the COYOTE CAFE in the Holiday Inn Downtown.
The date is Friday, Feb. 2 (this is a change from the proposed date
of Feb. 3). Space is reserved from 6:30 PM onward.

We can start gathering at 6:30 PM. Cocktails will be available
before, during and after dinner. Dinner orders will be taken starting
about 7:00 PM. We’ll be ordering from the menu & there’ll be
individual checks. A 15% gratuity will be added to each check.

The hotel is in the process of changing ownership so it may have a
different name by show time, but the location won’t change.

I do have to give the hotel a count of the number of attendees by
Wed., Jan. 24, so let me know if you’ll be attending. So far 45 folks
have signed up.

It’s been suggested that a program may be in order at this year’s
Tucson Orchid dinner.

Below are a few choices for program content. If you would, please
make a choice & forward it to me by Thur., 1/25.

Here’re the choices:

  1. Tool/book/material swap
  2. Slide talk on history of jewelry making - Alan Revere
  3. Slide talk on repairs - Alan Revere
  4. Eat and run, leave us alone

Do you have room for two more at the Orchid Dinner? We’ve missed it
in the past, but this year its one of our top priorities. Just let
me know YES, there’s room or NO, I missed my chance.

Are there any plans for another gathering of Orchidians in Tucson?
Hope so. I plan to be there in Feb look forward to seeing you all

get your reservation in soon. The cut off date is Jan 18!
