Old Vigor Engraving Machine

I just bought an old Vigor pantograph style engraving machine, model
number EN-775 or EN26166 and the person I bought it from said there
were insructions on-line for how to use it…silly me, I believed
it. I’ve had no luck finding anything myself. Does anyone here know
where I might be able to find or order instructions for how to use
it?

Thanks in advance,
Diane

Hi there,

I think all of the pantographs basically operate the same. I ran a
trophy shop for many years and trained many engravers. The machines
are fairly simple to operate. If you have any specific questions I
might be able to help you.

If you send me a picture of it, so that I know which one you have,
I’m sure I could guide you thru setup and use. They are actually very
simple once you know whats what.

Hi Diane,

If you send a SASE, I’ll be happy to send you the instructions
(about 5 pages).

Can’t tell you anything about you engraver, but Vigor, alas, has been
gone for about 10 years now. Not probably especially suberb tools,
but like an old friend…

Diane,

Where on the planet are you? If you are close, you could come watch
one at work… we use several models for some kinds of layouts -
before piercing.

By the way, I have a flatbed Hermes machine (motor and/or diamond
drag) for sale if anyone is interested - email me off the forum.

Diane,

Try a Grobet dealer A old dealer would know how to work it or might
have a owners book. Grobet took over Vigor a long time ago I still
have Vigor tools and they last!!

Good luck

Parts & Acessories for the Vigor Engraving machine are still
available.

Grobet (new owner of Vigor products) and many other mfg who have
copied this machine have the parts.

You need to contact a supply house or check if you can get help on
the Orchid.
