OK, I plead ignorance. Please describe what is ment by “botanical
designs” for me.

As a biologist by training, I think of the carefully made plant
illustrations such as are found in identification keys. Is there a
website that would illustrate such designs? Thanks in advance. A
special thanks to Hanuman/Dr. Aspler for declaring the “Official
Orchid Pin” design. Thanks also to the generous offers from members
Daniel Grandi and “Aufin” to create the piece. I would like to buy a
cast piece to finish as well as have the option to purchase the
completed lapel or “hat pin.” The ideas about rendering the design
in one’s own media are great… makes me wish I was a beader!
Understanding Dr. Aspler’s request that advertising on the website is
preferable to a fee attached to pin purchase, I think not everyone is
in a position to do that… myself included. A “royalty” might allow
everyone to participate in support of Orchid if purchase of a pin or
casting is made from D. Grandi or “Aufin”. I hope you will consider
that possibility. Just a thought. Judy in Kansas where Saturday in
the football stadium was equivalent to baking in an oven. Looking
for a little relief.
