Nv-jkc show

I see in the Lap Journal show calendar that there is a show in
early June in Las Vegas called LV-JKC INTERNATIONAL JEWELRY SHOW
at the Sands Convention Center . Does anyone know anything about
it? At the same time is a MJSA/AJM. I am thinking about going
to both if they’re worth the trip.

Bobert - JCK stands for “Jeweler’s Circular Keystone” a trade
publication for the jewelry business. The show is a big trade show
for the jewelry industry. They do have a good “Designer” section
that highlights independent designers. You can probably get more
on JCK’s website: http://www.jck.polygon.net

I used to go to the MJSA/AJM shows in Providence, R.I. Went early
and could barely cover the whole thing in one day. Lots of jewelry
tool suppliers with displays of their new products, which was
interesting. But what I loved was visiting the gemstone dealers
and getting some pretty good deals.

the JCK show in Las Vegas is very different than the AJM show. JCK
is for retailers to come and view new designs and place orders. It
is very difficult to gain entry unless one is fully qualified and
can prove it. Best to preregister. AJM is a looser show with
suppliers and other goods and services directed at makers. Alan
