Non tarnishing silver

g’day folks The naturally occurring tarnish on silvers is almost
entirely silver sulphides, not oxides, and is due to the presence of
sulphur compounds in the surrounding atmosphere.

Yep. If you get out of the city and its sulphurous pollution,
sterling oxidizes very, very slowly. No wonder they had all the
domestic help in the 19th century. With all that silver to polish!
