New Studio

Hi everyone

I finally took the plunge after all this time. I must have rewritten
the order about 5 times (making sure I got it right) but my entire
studio is now en route. It will arrive Friday. Wouldn’t you know, the
only item on back order was the acetylene tank (kinda integral).

Armed with a laptop and new studio, I am well on my way to becoming
a professional in my new chosen career field. My third career (4th if
you count motherhood) but (of the first three) the first one that I
have truly chosen for myself, by myself.

Please anticipate many questions. Although I intend to (of course)
scour the archives first, I am, by nature, a curious and impatient
person and will be asking lots and lots.

Very excited
Kim

Congratulations Kim! I know what a big step this is. I’m right behind
you. I’ve ordered a g-tec booster for my new unused Little torch
natural gas/oxy setup - very excited! Here’s to fruitful production
in 2007!!!

Congratulations, Kim!

If there is a welding supply place nearby (where you will be getting
your tank refilled) they should be able to sell you a tank, probably
cheaper as well, especially since it will probably be used. If you
can’t cancel the original order and don’t want to wait, a second one
would mean you never run out in the middle of a project on a holiday
weekend!

Hi Kim, I wish you much good luck in this new venture.

Hello, Kim

Congratulations! That’s fabulous!

Don’t forget the “Shop Goblin.” Mine is a statue of a gargoyle I
brought back from New Orleans. You need a goblin to blame for
dropping things, and to help you find stones. And to keep yourself
from taking things too seriously.

Have fun, this journey is all about discovery, magic and FUN!

I heard you’re supposed to keep a hefty supply of chocolate in the
shop for the “shop goblin” to keep him happy so he doesn’t hide your
tools or make you drop things…(hey, can you think of a better
excuse for that BIG jar of M&M’s?)
