Retail businesses feature a photograph or logo of their shop or store. To
enter a shop the InterNet user simply clicks on the picture of the shop that
takes their fancy. (the shops rotate so every shop gets the same exposure).
Once inside the buyer is able to view and buy items of jewellery, watches, or
whatever the shop owner wishes to promote. Imagine opening your doors

To be launched at the beginning of August, the Visual Commodity Index will
be featuring anything watch, clock, jewellery or allied trades. From diamond
rings to tools and findings, from coloured stones to Grandfather clocks and
insurance services.

The Index is organised by product type so that trade buyers can view full
colour images of actual goods on screen. A simple mouse click on an image
will reveal about the product, the supplier and present the
opportunity to order the piece, use the service or request more details from
the vendor. At an annual cost of £25 ($37.50) per image, vendors can have
as many images as they wish and add more in their own time. Each image is
a hyperlink to a web-page showing the suppliers resume and there is a direct
E-Mail link to the individual supplier.

            Antique and Second Jewellery Market

To be launched during August, Antique and Second Jewellery Market works in
a imilar way as the Visual Commodity Index except that it is open to trade
or ublic, in fact anyone that has an interesting piece(s) that they want to
trade, sell or find.

The Index is organised by product type so that buyers can view full colour
images of actual goods on screen. A simple mouse click on an image will
reveal about the piece, it’s retail selling price and present an
order form to secure the item. Trade credentials can be verified by fax. At
an annual cost of £25 ($37.50) per image, vendors can have as many images as
they wish and add more in their own time. Each image is a hyperlink to a
web-page showing the suppliers resume and there is a direct E-Mail link to
the individual supplier.

                    The GemNet Auction Rooms

Is this an InterNet first? Staring in the next few days GemNet is opening
it’s Auction Rooms. Pieces will be featured with a full description and
specification, bids will be taken via E-Mail and the current highest bid
shown on screen. There is no charge to feature a piece in the Auction,
GemNet will take a standard auctioneer’s commission.
