New GemNet Features & Services

#1

Retailing on GemNet using the GemNet 'Virtual Jewellery Arcade’
Retail businesses feature a photograph or logo of their shop or store. To
enter a shop the InterNet user simply clicks on the picture of the shop that
takes their fancy. (the shops rotate so every shop gets the same exposure).
Once inside the buyer is able to view and buy items of jewellery, watches, or
whatever the shop owner wishes to promote. Imagine opening your doors
and allowing 32 million potential customers to stroll in and peruse your stock,
24 hours a day. The Virtual Jewellery Arcade is the Retailer’s gateway to
their very own World Wide Web pages. The cost of a retail unit is £175
($265) just per year including design, imaging, programming and ground rent
(computer space).

colour images of actual goods on screen. A simple mouse click on an image
will reveal about the product, the supplier and present the
opportunity to order the piece, use the service or request more details from
the vendor. At an annual cost of £25 ($37.50) per image, vendors can have
as many images as they wish and add more in their own time. Each image is
a hyperlink to a web-page showing the suppliers resume and there is a direct
