My name is Rebecca Gouldson, and I’m based as an Artist in Residence
in a University Art college in Liverpool, England. I make both
sculptural and functional silver pieces. I etch the surfaces with
various marks and textures, and then oxidise in places to create a
variety of grey tones.
My main source of inspiration is our built environment, in
particular scarred and erroded architectural surfaces. My love of
drawing and printing is also reflected in the sponatneous drawn
marks that I translate in to the more solid and permanent metal.
