New Classes at Revere Academy

Hello Everyone!

We are gearing up for Summer here at Revere and I thought that
you would be interested in the new classes. These include
Beginning and Advanced Granulation, Gold Soldering, Casting
Gemstones in Place, Fabricating a Traditional Three Stone Ring,
Stone Setting with the AllSet=99 Tool System, Bench Jeweler
Certification Preparation, and How to Get a Job in Jewelry. All
classes are taught by prominent master goldsmiths and other
experts. In addition, Alan Revere will teach an eight week
Jewelry Technician Intensive beginning October 1, 1999.

The new classes are part of the upcoming Summer/Fall term which
runs from June through September, 1999. The session also
includes the Academy=92s regular curriculum of short classes which
can be taken individually or as part of the requirements for the
school=92s Jewelry Technician and Graduate Jeweler Diplomas. The
diploma programs include classes in Jewelry Fabrication, Jewelry
Repair, Stone Setting, Wax Modeling, Casting, Gemology, Mold
Making, Metalsmithing, Design, and Rendering. In addition the
Academy offers several platinum classes including Beginning and
Intermediate Platinum Fabrication, and Platinum Casting. The
schedule for elective classes is as follows.

Granulation July 19-21
Advanced Granulation July 23-25
Beginning Platinum Fabrication July 16-18 or Sept 7-9

Intermediate Platinum Fabrication Sept 10-12
Platinum Casting Sept 17-19
Casting Stones in Place July 30-Aug 1
Gold Soldering Aug 21
Classic 3-Stone Ring Sept 3-5
Get a Job in Jewelry! Aug 2
Setting with the AllSet=99 System Sept 7-9
Jewelry Technician Intensive October 4-Dec1

The 8-week Jewelry Technician Intensive, beginning October 1,
1999, is taught by the school=92s founder and director, Alan
Revere. This program provides total immersion as preparation for
a career in jewelry. The full time format includes 40 hours per
week in the studio. Participants meet local jewelry
manufacturers, bench workers and designers. Graduates earn the
Academy=92s Jewelry Technician Diploma as well as preparation for
certification as a JA=AE Bench Jeweler Technician=99.
