New Chainmaking Book

There is a new book (copyright 2025) on chainmaking from Brynmorgen Press, “Chainmaking for Jewelers” by Matthieu Cheminee. It’s a very impressive hard cover book that weighs almost 5 lbs. It shows how to make about 100 different styles.

There are over 2,000 pictures, all color (according to the back cover. I’m not counting them).

There are some really interesting chains described. If you have any interest at all in chains I think this is a must-have book. It isn’t cheap, but the value is there.

Thanks for the review! I was wondering about this book. It’s hard to make an online buying decision about a book without actually seeing it.

Thanks again!

I also got the book and it’s fabulous!

Just got it delivered this week. Such a beautiful and informative book. Lots of photos and it appears to be worth the investment. The tool section and step by step instruction is very helpful

so sad!

i had this book ordered on amazon, with expected delivery mid jan-feb…

then, out of the blue, amazon cancelled the order a month later…

when i go back to the listing, it says “out of stock”…

hmmm…

oh my, i will try to order directly from brynmorgan press! i should have done that to begin with…

Woohoo!

The book i ordered from Brynmorgan Press, arrived swiftly and without incident

“Chainmaking for Jewelers” by Matthieu Cheminee

It is quite substantial in its thickness! I love big books! (536+ pages)

A great feature is the pictorial table of contents!

with each chain pictured, in one place, for easy reference!

and if you are more of a visual learner, as i am, you will appreciate that the instructions are step by step pictures, with brief text!

if you already have his stamp making book, The Art of Stamping,

you will know what i mean…it is equally visually instructive!

excited to dive in!

my only wish was that it fad a dust jacket, as i put library covers on my books when possible.

(ordered from a library supply company)

i forgot to add, that i simply make a color copy of the whole cover, and use that as the dust jacket…

i order my book cover protectors from demco.com

i first purchased an assorted pack, to see which sizes i would most often need

they sell a variety of sizes
