G’day; this is really addressed to those of you who use wire to make
your art.
Nelson City NZ has a competion each year called WOW; (World Of
Wearablearts.) The rules of which are simple; the piece of art must
be wearable, even if only just. Other than that the sky’s the limit!
Professional mannequins are used to display the ‘clothes’ on the
’catwalk’; mostly quite fantastic, some under fluorescent light. I
have a picture of this years winner, and the young lady is dressed in
silver and copper wire knitted, crocheted and woven. If a few of you
wire workers would like to see it, mail me and I’ll send you a copy.
