More qtns about Hammer Handpiece

I never heard of this tool until it was recently discussed on
Orchid. It sounds like it would be useful for bezel setting and
texturing. But I have some questions. I’m looking at the Rio
catalog and see a few handpieces (the Badeco and a #15). I have
a Foredom CC.

1.Do these handpieces fit onto that flexshaft?
2.How do you know what rpm you’re running (e.g., the #15 says not
to exceed 5000rpm)
3.How does the darn thing work?

Thanks in advance.

Rita, completely clueless.

hi rita,

1.Do these handpieces fit onto that flexshaft?

yes, tho it will work with your cc it is nicer to have a machine
that has even torque at all speeds.

2.How do you know what rpm you're running (e.g., the #15
says not to exceed 5000rpm)

when it starts to have a life of its own, it is time to slow
down.

3.How does the darn thing work?

it slips onto the end of the sheath, just like any other
handpiece. it has a reciprocating tip that acts like a miniature
jackhammer best regards,
