More about drusies

Welcome Ryr,

Someone with a geology background will probably answer this
better than I can, but… drusies are stones that have tiny,
tiny (less than 1/2 mm) crystal formations in/on them. - like the
inside of some geodes. There are lots of agates that have drusy
embedded inside and other times you can find drusy formations
on/in chrysocolla, malachite, quartz, etc. If you get Lapidary
Journal, look through some back copies from this summer, there
were several photos of jewelry with drusy cabochons. Beautiful
stuff! The bottom right piece on my web page has a black drusy.
