Mokume rings materials issue revisited

A resolution to a difficult situation.

About a year ago I was inquiring about the etching of the mokume
gane wedding rings my husband and I had purchased 3 months prior.
Shibuichi and Shakudo were included in the laminate. [see:

Jim Binnion’s was helpful as I dealt with the owner of
the jewelry store where we purchased the rings and with the artist
who had made them.

Eventually, the store owner came to understand that the
inappropriate use of the Japanese alloys in rings would cause a
continuing destruction of the laminate as well as exposing sharp
edges of the remaining metal layers. We are pleased that he
graciously refunded the full purchase price.

Thank you, Jim.
