Modified bench pin- cushioned for hand comfort

Hi,

I seem to do alot of hand sanding…and i was using one of my bench pins, modified for comfort, and thought i would share…

one of my bench pins has a single “protrusion”…allows for more room/ movement around it…

…awhile ago, i thought to cut a piece of pipe insulation foam, and stick it on the protrusion, creating a soft rest for my hand…no sharp edges or corners to dig into my hand…while still providing a support against which to brace my hand…(holding the item being sanded between my finger tips)

i find that it works really well and accomodates different hand/ finger positions…

below are a few photos…

What a great idea! I like it. Here in Florida, I would use a cut to fit pool noodle lol! They come in such pretty colors too.
