After much experimentation with custom gold alloys I have determined what sort of colours I enjoy, and will now be using proper, professionally made master alloys. My question is whether I can mix different master alloys, provided they both are for mechanical working, to customize colour further. For example, say I wanted to get a richer yellow with some red undertones that I cannot find a master alloy for. Could I mix say, 3/4 yellow master alloy with 1/4 Rose master alloy with yellow gold to the proper caratage? Like 7.5 grams gold, 0.6 grams working rose master, 1.9 grams working yellow master alloy? Might they be somehow incompatible?
