Mini-sonic tumbler

Do any of you have experience with the Diamond Pacific MT-4
mini-sonic tumbler when used to finish small (1/2-2") metal
stampings, both flat and 3D?

I would also like recommendations of other reliable (but not too
expensive) equipment for this purpose.

Jamie, I have one of these. I use it with steel shot and have
polished small 10mm cast faces, chain and small pendents and it
worked fine.

Hello Jamie,

No experience with a mini-sonic tumbler. I use a simple rotary
tumbler - the kind commonly used to ‘polish’ rocks. It’s not
expensive and is very durable. I use stainless steel media with
burnishing compound or a low-sudsing dish detergent. May I recommend
Judy Hoch’s excellent booklet "Tumble-finishing Hand Made Jewelry."
It’s a great resource, practical, and modestly priced. Available
from Rio, among others.
