Here is a fairly recent thread about the Vervor scope. One thing to note is that this scope doesn’t come with light. That’s kind of imperative. There’s info in the thread about microscope lights.

Meiji and Leica microscopes seem to have the best reputation in the jewelry world, but they’re $2500ish, so a lot more money.

Working under a microscope takes a bit of practice, but once you do, they’re almost miraculous.
