I am pleased to announce that today, the Metalwerx Education
Scholarship Inc. (MESI) has been formed. This is a non-profit
subsidiary of Metalwerx, LLC. The mission of MESI will be granting
scholarships for classes and workshops for students who are of
financial need, fixed income, or who wish to study with a particular
instructor to further their education. MESI will also provide
funding for two month Artist in Residence grants, which include
lodging, classes, space in which to work, materials, travel expenses
and a small stipend. As part of their Residency, participants are
asked to teach a class in their profession.
