I’ve come across an older gold filled necklace, and I want to use
the links in another chain, my question is whether the gold filled
layer can withstand the shaping? Does the bond between the base
metal and gold weaken over time? Iwouldn’t think it would but I
wanted to see if anyone has ever reformed older gold filled.
