Making hoop earring display cards

Hello All,

Has anyone ever seen a hand tool (or punch) that can be used to make
the “U-Shaped” cutout to hold a pair of hoop earrings on a display
card? (I searched through the scrapbook section on internet to see if
they have something, but no luck.)

I am printing custom logo cards for hand-made hoop earrings and need
a
quick way to punch the “U-shaped” tab into the card.

Here is the shape I am referring to:

U - with a hole in the middle to insert the hoop earring.

Thanks!

Has anyone ever seen a hand tool (or punch) that can be used to

display card?

You might contact http://www.jewelrytoolsbymiland.com. Miland is
brilliant at making custom tools, and had made several plier-based
punches for me.

Good luck!

Check the leather crafting stores. I think what you want is the belt
tip punch sold for making the ends on belt strips. They come in a
variety of sizes.

Actually, you can use the half moon punch that comes with the Making
Memories tool kit. I think it is probably similar to the leather
punch thingie…

Someone asked about a punch for earring card, to make the little ‘U’.
I was telling a friend about my quest to make earring cards. she has
a tool for everything and works with paper. So I asked her if she had
a punch that would work. She has a tool for everything and wiped out
this punch: Basic Grey sells for scrap booking:

It might work. I have to experiment. I have been trying to decide if
I should card my earrings.

Does anyone know if they have better sales after carding?
