One way to prevent or lessen the occurence of air bubbles is to
slightly dome the gold before placing it on the silver, convex side
down. When the piece reaches fusing temperature, it will fuse
starting at the point of contact in the center and moving out towards
the sides.
This is another tip which was demonstrated by Charles Lewton-Brain
during his workshop in Tucson last year.
