#1

I posted a how I do it on making and setting a sapphire and diamond
pendant.
http://www.ganoksin.com/gnkurl/ep7ztb

109 diamonds weighing 9.34 carats.

The center stone a 20.3 carat sapphire.

Total weight, 23.3 grams of 18 karat gold.

Kind of glad this job is finished. …

Thank you, Hans, for the tutorial. It is great for us newbies to see
how something like that is fabricated. Haven’t seen someone make a
plaster mold for the sole purpose of being a holding device for
soldering, but it makes perfect sense. Little light bulbs popping in
my head! Oh, and the piece is stunning, too!

Well Hans, you did it again. Just lovely and what a delightful
sapphire. Thanks for sharing. Judy in Kansas, where all my neighbors
on the cul-de-sac have put up outdoor lighting for Christmas. So
pretty at night.

That’s exactly what happened to me when I saw that! I thought,
“Ohhhhh. . DUH! That really would have made project x, y, or z so
much easier!” It really is helpful when you guys put up tutorials
like that. Thank you so much. And the piece really is gorgeous! - El
