Hi Leon,

Have found 2 machines and cannot locate Maker for parts list or
instrctions can anyone help label reads on both H R Superior
soldering machine#422-553 and a polishing machine #31-759a Both

Try Rio Grande. Their 2000 tool catalog lists an electric soldering
machine (item # 503-135) on page 412. The label on it says Rio Grande,
but it looks identical to the unit (includig the accessories) I have
that is labeled HR Superior.

The polisher you describe has a tapered threaded shaft on each end of
a double shafted variable speed motor. The purpose of the tappered
threaded shafts is to make it easy to install & remove polishing
wheels of various sizes, materials, each having different finishing
compounds (bobbing compound, rouge, tripoli, zam etc) applied to them.
A gain refer to the polishing section of the Rio Grand tool catalog
for descriptions of the various wheels compounds available.

have fun!
Dave

Hi, I have a question maybe someone else has run in too!

I have a Genie Cabbing Machine, I have bought the muslin polishing
wheels for it, but now wonder if there is a way for me to install
spindles on it so I can use other types of wheels…like a brass
brush, a sandpaper holder, and a ring polishing mandrel. It would
probably be easier for me to do this money wise than buying a new
machine. Plus it takes up less space.
