[Looking4] Refiner in the South East

Looking for a refiner that will take Sterling Silver grinding,
filing, buffing sweeps, and casting flash and sprue snips, no floor
sweeps. One that won’t eat up the lot with melt and assay charges, I
have about 22 pounds of this, when we used to send to Academy in
Albuquerque, we averaged 15% to 18% of the gross weight return, so
this isn’t a very large lot. There’s most likely only 50 to 70 OZ so
I don’t need a 200.00 melt and assay charge. Does any one know of a
reliable refiner in the South East they could recommend, when I last
looked there weren’t any in Tennessee that did this type material,
only Photo/X-ray reclaiming.

It’s not quite in the SE, but if you’ve got to mail/ship the scraps,
it’s not much farther. You might try Hauser & Miller
(hauserandmiller.com) in St. Louis. they’ve been in business for
almost 100 years & are a good firm to deal with. I’ve had scrap
recycled by them & the charges weren’t bad & the service was prompt.
