[Looking4] Custom watch designer

Hi Everyone,

I am working with a new organization for their jewelry line but they
have also expressed desire to add a nice custom watch to their
collection. I am looking for recommendations for a custom watch
designer to pass on. Any recommendations or suggestions of how to
point them in the right direction? Obviously watches are not my
specialty so I just want to collect any recommendations or contacts
for them to work with.

Thanks,
DeAnna Cochran

Hi DeAnna,

I have been designing and producing watches for 8 years now. All
custom made for small run productions, in gold and/or silver. I can
provide a watch designs catalogue upon request. If you want to pass
on my contact details:

expressed desire to add a nice custom watch to their collection

Well, DeAnna, what does that mean? To have a truly custom made watch
that can be produced economically requires a watch factory. To have a
mechanical watch, as opposed to a case for a quartz movement,
requires an even bigger factory. In those cases, talk to Seiko, Rolex
or Patek Phillipe.

I suspect that what you really want is a promotional watch of some
sort, which is far easier.

A Google of “custom watch design” brought up many - here’s a couple:

And more…

Here is a link to truly talented watch maker. Prices range from
$6,700 to $20,000 for the men’s models.

Deanna,

You may want to check the following watch companies to see if they
work on a wholesale level:

  1. Bozeman Watch Company
    877-878-1780
    Bozeman, MT

  2. Montana Watch Company
    406-222-8899
    Livingston, MT

Good luck!

There are companies in Switzerland that will custom manufacture
watches, do design, packaging, develop a marketing plan and handle
after sale repairs. This is one outfit I’ve had emails with:

You can also go to the Federation Horologie’ website for switzerland
and send an email through their form, and you’ll get emails from a
couple different firms.
