[Looking for] Special cut Blue Saphires

Greetings, first step on my search is the Orchid group.

I am looking for Saphires cut to go in the points of a 5 pointed
star. I have seen many a masonic ring with various color stones in
the star shape in my years in the industry, but never saw a source
for them. I have a customer that wants an all blue star pendant. I am
looking for 4-5mm “flat” to “point” sized stones.

Hi David; Try this source. I got this from an ad in a trade
magazine. They advertise replacement stones for antique filligree
mountings.

As for the pointed stones (synthetics, mostly) that are in Masonic

color in a wide variety, and can cut to your specifications if

I have seen star-cut sapphires in Tucson sold by a Sri Lanka Company
called Precision Lapidaries. Here is a recent e-mail I recieved from
them:

  Thank you for your interest in the Star Shape Sapphires.  We
  usually produce 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0mm sizes in Blue, Pink &
  yellow Sapphires. The price range will be @ 70 USD to @ 375 USD
