LONG yak on where I live

So what’s your idea of where I live, then?

It’s funny, because I was thinking of that when I typed my plea to
you. Having lived in Europe and traveled a lot through the years
plus being interested in anything to do with Australia and New
Zealand (I was thinking of going there when I used to make more
$$$), you think I would be better about visualizing other places.

But what I was thinking was that New Zealand must surely be small
enough that everyone knows each other (after all, it takes 11 hours
to drive across Texas from east to west and even longer from north
to south, so anyplace else must be really, really small–thus
everyone knows everyone else). Dumb, huh?

But I do think of it as more rural-like than Dallas. You can’t go
anywhere here without a car (just ask my car-less co-worker). How
large (both population and size) is Queenstown? Dallas and Ft.
Worth combined are probably over 4 million and would take you 1
hour to travel from where I live (as far north as you can go in
Dallas proper) to the southern side of Dallas travelling 60 mph or
faster (well, I’ve included more than a few stop lights of 3-4
minutes’ length along the way).

Enough yakage to get everyone riled up, for sure.

I was telling a person on the phone last year about the man who
went crazy here in a little town in New Zealand - shooting people -
our worst gun massacre. She commented that he must be an accurate
shooter, as the people being so few in NZ it would be so easy to
miss…

She was from the East Coast.

I don’t actually live in Queenstown, but let’s see it must be
8,000 people. Take a look at the picture on

Now Sharon, you know your not suposed to boast about
TEXAS and DALLAS. I also live in this “big” city.
Though they have been good to me they are
not realy big. Big is my previous home
you take a quess. 24,million, in city proper and
suburbs. Hint, city has the largest stadium in the
world 125,000 seats. Hint, one mile high.
Besides, Southern girls are tought to be modest.

PS. Equipment is hard to come by in this area try
Swest at Harry Hines and Southwestern?? They have
used equipment occationally. As do the Rock Barrel
in Richardson.
