Can I oxidize a piece in liver of sulfer after the stone (jasper) has been set?
I just did it with a piece of jasper that I had just finished cutting. After I oxidize, I usually run the piece thru the SS shot tumbler as it produces a very nice highly polished oxidized finish. I don’t know as all stones will stand this abuse, but the jasper piece did. Good luck…Rob
I forgot to mention in my previous post that the metal should be polished as usual and cleaned first prior to tumbling. The tumbling is to finish the oxidation, not the metal…Rob
