Left handed flex machines!

Doug Turret I found some for you. Foredom has a left
handed flex shaft machine…its in a one direction ONLY, its their
"S series" in Canada it sells for $385.00 or about $290.00+ -in
American currency. Up here no one else has thought of making such a
machine. Hope this helps you in satisfying your attempt in locating a
suitable setting apparatus for yourself. Eisinger has some on
stock…Newark 973 - 596 - 1500, Miami 786 - 425 - 1234,
Toronto 416 - 665 - 8600 …Gerry Lewy!

Unless I am greatly mistaken, if you get this unit, you will have to
find burr and bits that are cut in the opposite direction that
"normal" ones are. Could be very difficult to find these and if you
do, they may be much more expensive.

Just a thought…

I am left handed and I just get used to the “wrong direction” tools.
Been doing it for 55+ years.

Most any flex shaft motor can be converted to run the opposite
direction. Just remember that some handpieces are not made to go in
reverse (parts of the handpiece will start to unscrew while you are
using it). The popular Foredom # 30 will work just fine in reverse.
Also, the Foredom SR motor has a switch for forward and reverse and
would be a good choice for left handed use.

Okay, now that we know that reversible flex-shaft machines are
available out there, does anyone have a source for burrs and bits
that cut ‘left-handed’? Dee
