The QIA Pow Wow show offers two field trips every day of the show.
They don’t have their field trips for 2006 posted on their website
yet but you may be able to get more by emailing them at
qia@redrivernet.com.
Last year they offered field trips to look for agate, jasper,
fossils, apache tears, rhyolite and more. I suggest emailing them
and watching their website for updates.

More vendors are coming in daily…every time I drive around town
there are more booths set up. That being said, as far as gem items
are concerned it is still pretty slow here between now and the first
of the year. A lot of people leave the area over the holidays.
However, the Desert Gardens area is starting to set up and they are
all pretty hardcore rock and gem.
