Laser Welder - Flashlamp replacement

Laserwelders,

I am reaching the one year mark with my Rofin and am starting to get
in the mindset of changing out the flashlamp. I am wondering how
diffiucult this task is and what is the timeframe of replacement.

Thanks

Scott, no worries. Takes 20 mins tops and is very easy to do.

Scott,

We have a laser with over two years on the lamp. I know they are not
cheap. I would worry about it when it burns out. I am not sure what
make ours is but the Rep was in today to have a look at ours and he
said that everything looked good.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but if you wait until the lamp burns
out, you run the risk of damaging the delicate gold plating that the
lamp is housed in due to the lamp exploding. This can get very
expensive. It’s much better to replace the lamp per Rofins
maintenance schedule.
