If somebody has done this before, don’t tell me and let me marvel at
my genius.(I swear I’m just kidding) A customer came in with screw
back stud earrings and wanted friction backs. The little light bulb
went of in my head and I went to my laser. I used a wide, gentle
beam and shot the threads on the post at an angle and laid them
right down. I also used argon so it would leave a smooth surface.
Then cut in the line for the backs to catch on. Ta Da, friction
backs in about a minute.
