Lamination

Hi All, I have a little technical problem. I am using two 18 ga.
sterling silver sheets. I have been drilling holes into them in
order to fill them up with a gold rod - I think this is called
marriage of metals in the USA. This process is not very difficult,
but, as I want to use the sheets to be the top and the bottom of a
ring - the sides will be two tubes - I will have to bend the sheets
slightly - I think I’m going to use a baseball bat for it. The
problem is that I don’t know what will happen to the soldered joints
when bending - or carefully hammering - the sheets. It might be a
problem in view of the different malleabilities involved here. Which
is the best way to do this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Best, Will - typing at an American keyboard which gives me the creeps.
