Jump ringer systems

Ray, Are there good jump ringer systems for heavy wire rings, like
12 and 10 guage jump rings that are 3/8 - 1/2 inch inner diameter?
Thanks, Jan

Jan, The standard and long (high production) Jump Ringers will cut
from 30 to 12 guage wire. Straight round mandrels up to 1/2" may be
wound on the standard winder. We also produce a set of mandrels in
finger sizes from 2 through 12. (Approx. 5/8" to 7/8"). The mandrels
above 1/2" have their ends turned down to fit the 1/2" capacity
chuck. These coils may also be cut without additional accessories.
Hope this helps. Ray

I can easily cut 15ga (.0571), but for 14ga (.0641) I have to scoot
the blade to slightly off center. I haven’t been able to get
consistent cuts on anything larger - I often have to finish the cut
with a hand saw. What am I doing wrong? I’d love to be able to
tackle 12ga!

Spider, Sounds like you either have a dull blade or the blade is not
centered in the guard/guide. The milled out section of the coil
holder’s top plate must also be facing downward contacting the coil
for maximum depth of cut. I suggest you also collapse the coil on a
wooden dowel like a Slinky. The dowel will support the coil during
the cutting operation. How are you feeling? Ray
