Mid-Career Show. Open to all working artists who have done the hard
work of learning their craft and now have the tools to express a
vision that is their own. Eligible artists are those with at least
seven years exhibition experience (academic exhibitions not
included), or who have worked in the commercial art field for at

Aug 15, 2004 NEW SEEKING RENEWABLE ENERGY SCULPTURE The North
Carolina Zoo is seeking artists or teams led by a professional artist
for a large-scale sculpture that promotes renewable energy. The
principal interpretive focus is to link the production of energy to
clean technology and to the sustainable use of resources. The artist
is encouraged to incorporate interactive elements that engage the
visitors in learning experiences that are fun. The target
installation date is September 2005. Up to 3 artists will each
receive a $500 honorarium to visit the sites for an interview and
proposal presentation. The project budget is $73,000 inclusive of
artist fee, engineering, fabrication, installation and other

the public art selection and implementation process for a glass
commission for the City Hall in Redmond, Washington. The City of
