Joy!

Hi Folks,

You may remember me from my intro yesterday. All I can say is, “HERE
you all are!”

I’m on the ArtMetal list, and love it, but I don’t get enough jewelry
talk there. Someone who is also on that list (I can’t remember who, but
THANKS!) posted this list, and this is what I’ve been needing!

I’ll be talking with all of you more in the future!

Welcome, Dave! As you may be gathering by this time, we’re an eclectic
group (some of us, including me, are downright strange ;-)) but we tend to
be a friendly gaggle (herd? covey? flock? what the hell IS a group of
jewelers, anyway?) and if you can overlook our occasional descents into
borderline insanity, the forum has TONS of great info!

Suspect some of us have been forgetting to use the respirators sometimes…

Hmmm… a group of jewelers? Must be a melee (sp?)!

can be a newbie and make one of their first posts a bad pun on gemstone

Has something called Sebaste Studios in NC.

If you don’t mind, I’ll grovel later…too busy trying to get caught up with
messages to do it right now.

BTW, found the CoolTalk site; looks like it’ll be just the ticket once you
get the bugs worked out. Noticed that it only works with Netscape 3.0
(which I have); is that your version? Wonder if Dave has it; of course, it
can be downloaded as well but I understand the download time can be a bear.

Susan,

Down load is appox. 15 minutes… you have Netscape 3, I assume you are
using either 3.1 or '95, have an appropiate unzip …, and a sound board…
Have played with the features… like the whiteboard which is really a
drawing features and its relatively easy to use… will helploads with
communications…

Have sent messages to COOL T and expect them to responds today …

Dave A has an old Mac … but COOL t has that covered as well but he
doesn’t have a sound board… haevn’t heard from Dave S…

BE back!

So now we need identifiers, like “Big Dave” and “Bigger Dave” (you think I’m
getting any further into this after the optivisor joke, you’re crazy!!)

I just want to know why all the Daves are “damned”. Sounds like blackmail
material to me.

Candy

The by deductive reasoning, ALL DAVES HAVE OLD MACs’ … what else??

(Dave Arens, your partner in the SDJS project… Nummy, also suggested he
has an old Mac…)

Susan,
I believe there a really ‘3’ Daves … not including the Bible… Dave
Stephens, Dave Arens, and Dave Armstrong … Current spelling accepted…

Our SDJS partners are; Dave Stephans, Dave Arens…

Believe BOTH(???) are doing the online page class

Got a response from CT… have to download… Would be dam handy… with the
white board feature… working with Dave A on a plating pen, we need to draw
pictures… One is worth a 1,000 you know??

Jim,

Actually, 4 Daves…don’t forget Dave Sebaste. And if you think I was gonna
carry that train of thought any further on public access, NO WAY!

Agree the white board would be invaluable (see previous barred/tapered
connector problem); I have no problem doing a download - how 'bout the rest
of ya’ll?
