covers trade publications. Will give it a shot. If not…well will
try the net or local jeweler.

What is a remounter? My common sense would tell me that it is the
trade of upgrading settings…yes? I’m sure there is more to it
though…right?..anyway thanks for you inputs and
suggestions…I’m on the track.

Nan: Remounters travel from store to store carying loose stones and
semi-mounts ( mountings set with small stones but no center) and also
blank mountings. They travel in pairs, usually, a salesman and a
jeweler. They take old mountings pull the stones and reset them in new
mountings… more or less. Of course they will sell you more
stones etc. Frank
