Houston Center for Contemporary Craft

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, a non-collecting, non-profit
institution dedicated to the product, process and history of craft
in the Houston Museum District, is seeking a dynamic Gallery Director
to supervise exhibitions and related activities including; curatorial
research, review of potential exhibitions, donor relations,
installation, shipping and packing, preparation of loan agreements
and related public programming.

Presenting 4-8 major exhibitions annually, Houston Center for
Contemporary Craft resides in an 11,000 sq. ft. facility that
includes 2 exhibition galleries, 5 resident artist studios, and a
retail gallery. Programming is planned and partially booked through
2006.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Art related field preferred, Bachelors degree
required with three to five years of related gallery or museum
experience. Knowledge of contemporary craft highly desirable. Must
be familiar with Microsoft products.

Compensation: Starting Mid 30’s, generous leave package, paid
health and dental.
