Jewelry camp

Hi, all- i am going to be attending a week long session at the
Appalachian Center for Crafts , just an hour outside Nashville,
taught by Alan Revere , in June. I thought some of you might be
interested in some of their offerings this summer-

-June 8-12, James Charneski teaches Bench tricks, tips and
Shortcuts- sounds like its for beginners, and people who want to
increase production skills.

-june15-19, Melissa Lovingood, Dimensional Forms in Metal-sinking
and anti-clastic raising

–June 22-26, Alan Revere, chain and hinge making, sign up quick,
only 2 vacancies left.

  • July13-17 Introduction to Jewelry-beginners course

  • July 20-24, Mixed media techniques for jewelry making and
metalsmithing, Diane Falkenhagen. use non-conventional materials
such as coran, resins, . Demos of mechanical cold joining
    techniques.

The good news is, this is only about 400-450 for the 5 days,
INCLUDING room and board. I have never stayed on premises before,
but at the weekend courses I took, the food was fantastic. The
campus is gorgeous, and very well equipped. Their phone number is
615-597-6801. They also are offering a bead making course the same
week as Alan’s class, and of course, other offerings in clay and
glass and whatever. Check into it! anne
