[Jewelry Attractions] Kansas City

I’m heading for Kansas City in early May to exhibit at the Brookside
Art Annual show for the first time. The dates of the show are May 4-6
and I would love to meet any Orchidians who are in the area so please
stop by my booth (#172 on the south side of the tents) and say hello!
And if you have done this show and have any tips for me, I would be
happy to hear them. Feel free to email me off list.

Also, I will be staying in KC for a couple of extra days to see a
friend who is flying in from Detroit and would appreciate any
recommendations for galleries, museums and other attractions
(including great restaurants!). Thanks in advance for all suggestions.

Hello Beth, I may be in KC during the Brookside show and if so, will
plan to stop by your booth to greet you. You asked about what to do
in KC. The show people have probably sent you the usual chamber of
commerce stuff, but I’ll give you may faves. The Nelson-Atkins
Gallery of Art and Country Club Plaza are must sees. There are many
interesting and fine restaurants on the Plaza, plus it’s fun to
wander around the area, look at the statues and fountains, and window
shop. If the weather is good and you like zoos, the Kansas City Zoo
is worth your time. It covers a lot of ground though. You can get
an internet tour of activities happening during your visit at
