Jewelery in the London area

Fernando,

I highly recommend the Victoria and Albert Museum in South
Kensington. They have a really excellent gallery of jewelery. Almost
nest door is a part of the Natural History Museum called the
Geological Museum that has a good collection of Gemological specimens.
The nearest tube line is South Kensington - but if you visit Harrods
it’s about a ten minute walk down the road from there.

Books are best bought from the large stores such as Books Etc - but
for really esoteric and almost out of print try Foiles in the
Tottenham Court Road

Hatton Garden is worth a visit - but many of the shopkeepers there
are rather difficult to persuade that you are a fellow worker and you
may find prices expensive. The tool suppliers are nothing like as good
as those in the USA. It is, however, a really excellent place to buy
findings and chain in small quantities and they will help by posting
abroad for you. Finding what you want and placing repeat orders is
very easy.

If you need art materials or guiding supplies there are several
excellent shops in the center.

There’s a brilliant bead shop in Covent Garden near Seven Dials.
